Administrative Setup

Puducherry / Pondicherry district is having typical type of administrative setup. The District, a part of Pondicherry, is having two other regions named Yanam and Mahe which are around 800 KM from the district head quarters. The district is administratively headed by the district collector and the two regions by Regional administrators, reporting to the district collector.
